Earthquake Hits Maluku. An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale jolted Saumlaki, Maluku, today (14/9). According to the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the tremor is not likely to cause a tsunami.
The earthquake happened at 01.31AM, located at 6,83 South Latitude and 129,60 East Longitude with a 207-kilometer depth.
The earthquake happened at 229 kilometer northwest of Saumlaki, 373 kilometer southwest of Daya Tual, and 389 kilometer southeast of Ambon.
On Saturday (11/9), two earthquakes, each measuring 5 and 5,9 on the Richter scale also hit Labuha in Maluku.
